FAQs
Is this similar to therapy or counselling?
Mentoring is something in-between the two. It is listening, educating, guiding, adapting, catalyzing, companioning as you face your fears, disentangle your self, and walk your path back home to yourself.
What kinds of support or services do you offer?
I offer mentorship, companionship or doula services and education. Please browse through my offerings here.
Do you offer one-on-one work, group sessions, or both?
I offer private sessions and bespoke classes as well as group classes, workshops and circles. Private sessions allow of individualized support and group sessions allow a space to build respectful and brave communities where you can practice your relationship skills in real-life. Then you can take these skills to your own circle of influence. Check out the OFFERINGS page to see more.
Why are study groups required for the workshops
The one month study group that follows the workshops are a requirement because it ensures that you will have the opportunity to put into practice the skills you learned in the workshop. It also provides a space for you to reflect on your experience as you implement these practices and you can receive mentorship from me and support from your peers. This work necessarily needs to be done within community because we learn and heal within relationships in the same way we were hurt and harmed within relationships.
Why do some workshops have pre-requisites?
Some of the workshops are organized in a series, therefore, there is foundational knowledge and skills that are needed before diving into emotionally challenging workshops. Conflicts and ruptures are inevitable in human relationships, so we need to learn the skills that allow for respectful confrontations and compassionate repair.
Who is this work for? Do I need to be spiritual or scientifically minded to benefit?
The private sessions, mentorship, companionship (doula support), classes, workshops, and circles are open to everyone. You do not have to have a spiritual practice, and if you do we can weave it into the work that we do together. Likewise, you do not have to be scientifically-minded. While science does inform what I do and how I work, I share only what is necessary and I make it very accessible.
I work with you as a whole human, so all parts of your life matter and will impact the work we are doing.

How does science fit with spirituality and ecology in this approach?
Modern western science is a collection of knowledge that is acquired by the scientific method which is a reasonable framework for testing hypotheses within the physical world.
As a scientist, I have encountered data that could not be tested or resolved by this scientific method. There is a possibility that the technology or understanding doesn’t exist yet and could be addressed in the future.
Ecology is the study of inter-relationships of organisms with their environment. As living beings we are part of the environment and are impacted by nature’s cycles. So I bring in ecological awareness and insight into my work.
Spiritualty refers to experiences and phenomena that is beyond the physical world and beyond the self. In a way, it is also a practice of inter-relationships and interconnections be it with other humans & non-humans, Spirit and Soul.
As a scientist, I do bring in the curiousity and the analytical framework of my science training to my spiritual practice. I find them complementary.
We are multidimensional beings and we need to tend to all aspects of our being.
What exactly do you mean by “transitions and transformations”?
By “transitions and transformations,” I refer to the process of evolving — whether in mindset, lifestyle, worldview, or life direction — in a way that honors your inner journey, aligns with scientific insight, respects ecological and historical context, and nurtures spiritual growth. It’s about meaningful change that resonates at deeper levels, not quick fixes.
Transitions refers to a passage or journey from one state to another. So going through puberty is a transition as is marriage or motherhood or the end-of-life. Transformation refers to the irreversible change that happens once the transition completes. Many transitions contribute to transformation.
The transformation from caterpillar to butterfly requires the transition or metamorphosis of the chrysalis stage.
Transitions can be challenging and vulnerable so support is necessary and this is what I offer. So for the transformation from Maiden to Mother, I can support you in the transitions of conception/pregnancy, or birth or postpartum or I can be there through the entire transformation.
What will I gain or experience if I engage in this transformation work?
Clients share that they gain clarity, ease, peace, self-confidence, self-compassion.
Many share that they are more resilient and responsive.
They find that they can trust their intuition and are able to listen to higher guidance.
Most important to me is that they find more joy, creativity, and gratitude in living their life.
How much time or commitment does this work require?
The time commitment ranges from 1 hour for a private session to 1 hour circles or 2 hour workshops with 10 – 30 minute weekly commitments for 4 weeks.
