What to expect?

Birthing knowledge, wisdom, and practices that are tailor-made for you.

As parents-to-be, you most likely are drowning from tsunami of information. And are likely to be confused with the contradictory advice directed at you. Together, we can surf these waves to make sense of the overwhelming information on the internet from experts & influencers.

You will have the benefit of my training in science & critical thinking to help you sort through facts, opinions, anecdotes, evidence & beliefs. As we go sift through and discuss these, you will learn how to do the same. My teaching experience allows me to simplify complex topics so that you can grasp the necessary information. Since, I also include background & context, you will better understand how to apply the information to your particular situation.

Importantly, you will learn calming & grounding practices to  reconnect with your intuition and relax into your body wisdom. These breathing, movement, & visualization practices are useful not only for pregnancy and labor & birth, but also during post-partum & parenting. Your baby also “learns” in the womb and will settle easier when these practices are used after they are born!

Lastly, we discuss other possible birthing journeys because birth is unpredictable. In this way, you are prepared to have an empowered birth experience with whatever come your way.

Because, I take the time to get to know you, your family, your values and traditions, I can offer you relevant information that is aligned with your birth wishes.

Topics we review.

All classes include anatomy, physiology, psychology, and neuroscience, sociology and history. (Don’t worry, I make it relevant and practical).

Sessions are tailored to your needs and your family. Typically, parents have needed 5 – 7 sessions over 2-3 month period. I have observed that is it important for clients to have time in between the sessions to review, discuss, and let the information settle.

As we are nearing the end of birth education classes, Y. and I were discussing how little we actually knew when we started. With the right information, most of our worries were eased and we now feel more prepared.

We find it useful how there are videos to show the information we had just covered. That way we can see how it looks like in real life and not just simply as words. We have also enjoyed all the articles sent to us so far and have found them very beneficial.

We have no complaints and love how everything is going so far. Thank you for everything!

I know it [circumcision] can be a “touchy” subject for some people. But for us we are open minded and accept all different opinions. Since someone might mention something we didn’t think about.

Take it as a learning experience.

It more important to have for circumcision as it’s a cultural thing. He (Y) was mentioning how he was growing up in Bahrain, boys tend to notice these things.

So we will do it in the first few months.
